MUSLIM MORO

In this study are interesting to discuss is the Moro Muslims in the struggle
against discrimination in the Philippines. The problem is as follows. (1) How Moro
Muslims in social struggle in efforts against discriminatory practices in the
Philippines in 1972 to 1996? (2) How Moro Muslim struggle in the political field in
the effort against discriminatory practices in the Philippines in 1972 to 1996? This
research is an historical study, conducted at the University of Muhammadiyah
Metro Library. The purpose of this research is: To analyze the social field Moro
Muslim struggle in the effort against discriminatory practices in the Philippines in
1972-1996. (2) To analyze the struggle of the Moro Muslims in politics in the
effort against discriminatory practices in the Philippines in 1972-1996.
The method used in this research is the historical method with the
advanced study of literature. Data collection techniques in this study using the
steps heuristrik and literature study. In testing the correctness of the data or the
validity of data collection used internal and external criticism, while for the data
analysis method is by interpretation and historiography. The results of this study
are:
Moro Muslim struggle has been going on since the arrival of the Spanish
and the United States. Even after the Philippines gained independence from the
United States, Muslim Moro is still not considered to exist, causing Until the
uprising to demand justice by Philippine Muslim elite led by Nur Misuari and
Salamat Hashim.
